WhatsApp will no longer support BlackBerry, some Nokia phones and some Android which are having older version of Android OS.

This action will be taken by the end of this year so from 2017 no BlackBerry user will be able to use this apps also the Android Phone users will have to upgrade their mobile if they want to use this app.

The Symbian s40 and s60 series and Windows Phone 7.1 of Nokia will be affected by this decision whereas in Android the phone having version 2.1 or 2.2 will no longer have access to this application.

This was also hard for the company as they are losing millions BlackBerry’s users. Means they really are losing a huge number of users by not supporting the OS.

“While these mobile devices have been an important part of our story, they don’t offer the kind of capabilities we need to expand our app’s features in the future.” The company wrote in their blog post.
